Omfg, its been a month since I've done a journal!

Anyway, as some of you guys know, I had surgery last week to remove half of my thyroid because there was a nodule there.
The surgery itself wasn't bad, of course I wouldn't know since I was put to sleep. XD
And guess how they closed me up?
Not with stitches...
Not with staples (like my mom)..
BUT with GLUE!! XD

So yeah, I'm doing well and the doc says everything looks fine but the incision area won't completely recover till about a few weeks.
I'm just glad the fat ass Nigel is gone-seriously he was pretty big.
And yes, I named my nodule Nigel-so what?

In other news.....

Me and ~Vampire-Akito are thinking of holding a contest!!
The theme would be "Darkness"
-It can be anything gothic, emo, horror/occult, or just anything dark!
-Entries can be any form of drawing, writing, or photography!

So it would be great if any of you guys could enter or help spread the word!
Speaking of which, does anyway know where (on DA) I can announce a contest. Is it at the forums? News? And where/how do I do it?

The deadline/date isn't yet decided because we need more people willing to participate.
But we would give the contestants about a month to turn something in.

Prizes would be art by me and ~Vampire-Akito!!

In other, other news....

I was thinking of doing more random pages from my story "Immortal Requiem."
One page is a tile chapter thing. So I would need to have the title "Immortal Requiem" on the page. But I don't know what the logo for the title of my story should look like. It would have to have some sort of design that relates to the story.
Hmm...lets see, the genre of it is action, horror/occult, adventure kinda thing-and the main characters are dead so I'm not sure which direction to take it..I need to figure out what style font (bold, messy, elaborate) and what type of design on it.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm just trying to brainstorm here..
